Andrew Greenwoods Malvern mini show is a nice wind down to a busy show season, with a nice mix of shiny mini's and well stocked varied traders, all held indoors it makes for a relaxed experience.
Due to the ill health of the S.C.M.C mini fleet at present the decision was made not to have a club stand, however we would still attend in force and show our presence.
The fun and games started early, Aaron (Gibba) kindly offered to drive us there and back in his limo, sorry I mean Audi, the day did not start well with a mix up on times due to the end of british summer time, the net result was Aaron and Dan ringing up Radio 1 to verify the time which they kindly gave them a shout out live on air.

After a quick shower we headed off to pick up Roo from Woodley where we had arranged to meet Matt, after a 20 minute wait for Matt we could wait no longer and headed off to Peartree services to hook up with Nic (Neon 91).
Arriving at peartree Matt was still nowhere to be seen, the decision was made to set off and Matt was instructed to meet us there.
The journey down in our Audi/mini convoy was uneventful apart from a couple of near misses and Nic's car running a little to hot for comfort.
The weather en route was gorgeous sunshine, the perfect weather in which to drive a mini, shame none of us had any, apart from Nic!!. In no time we had arrived at the Three Counties Showground and the show was already in full swing, as Aaron was helping out on an autojumble stand some of us got in for free ( snigger ) ,Nic was shown into one of the halls to park his mini and we parked the Audi shame at the bottom of the car park.

The turn out of minis was not as varied or in any numbers as previous shows, however there were some very nice examples including a lovely mk1 white van, Shifty set about documenting the occasion with his camera and we wandered the stalls looking for bargains.

After hooking up with some old friends from other clubs and forums we all headed off to the restaurant for a much deserved brew and chocolate bar, bagging a spot in the garden the conversation was in full flow, with much banter and sugar missiles flying around, Dan's random skeletor quotes kept the group amused.

It was noticed the show was very poor on traders compared to recent shows, however this didnt stop several members bagging themselves a very nice mk1 Inocenti grill with chrome surround for £20, bargain of the day, and not wanting the mini's to miss out the Phoenix was treated to a new loom, the stroker beast had a mk1 boot handle and Charlotte's mini was treated to several chrome goodies, by this time it was 14.00 and people were starting to thin out.
After jumping back in the shame and the mini's, this time joined by Matt we all headed to a local beauty spot I know very well called Gullett Quarry nestled in the Malvern hills the dis-used quarry is now a national beauty spot offering some simply breathtaking views and offering a home to wildlife such as kestrals and ravens, the crew wasted no time exploring the rocks and took advantage off some cool group photo opportunities courtesy of Shifty.
We liked it so much we have organised to hold the Mordor run part 2 there, and will be camping overnight, details to follow next year.

After stopping off at the official S.C.M.C sponsors (Maccy d's) Roo was forced to order her food as skeletor, Dan documented the occasion on his mobile for future embaresment
So in summary not one of the biggest shows of the year but deffinatly one off the best mainly in part due to the great weather and even better company!
