I met Matt at 7am at Peartree Services for the 60 mile trip to
Malvern which went without incident, on arrival I promptly phoned Barry
from LSMOC to see where they were as we had been invited to display our
cars on thier clubstand.
After cleaning and polishing the
cars we went for a good mosy about to see what bargains could be had at
the various tradestands and autojumble stalls, By 11am both halls were
bustling with the many visitors and show cars on display, the usual
clubs were in attendance - Hilltop Mini's, Splinters Mini Club, Mini
Rebels to name a few.
After a rather expensive burger
(courtesy of Matt) it was time to spend some money on items that were
needed, while Matt did'nt buy anything I purchased a new wiper blade and
arm setup and a new 11 slat grille (I go through them like mad).
By 2pm people were already
starting to leave, wether they got bored or simply ran out of cash to
spend I do not know. We waited till 3pm to see the prize awards handed
out (nothing for me this year) lol.
All in all the 7th
Malvern Mini show was,nt the best i've seen but certainly well worth the
trip.
For a show
that was,nt expecting too many visitors, Malvern certainly put that
theory to bed. The turnout was pleasantly big even though Mini vs
Beetles was on the same day. Lets see what the later year show brings.
